The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is rated among the best trekking trips in the world because of the exquisite beauty of it's natural surroundings, these include different ecological areas from High Deserts to Andean rainforest. 

Following this ancient Inca Trail we will be walking past mysterious archaeological sites, half covered by jungle overgrowth, that looks like you are discovering them for the first time, and finally arriving to the lost city of the Incas: Machu Picchu.  Our journey is conducted by experienced guides that will make your trip most pleasant and safe. All of our luggage will be carried by native quechua porters that will make our journey a

different one enhancing our Andean experience.

The meals are delicious and prepared by experts in international cuisine

ITINERARY:

1 Day: Cuzco - Wayllabamba

Pick up from your hotel in our bus in the morning 6.30 to 7.30 and leave from Cuzco to km 82, where we will have lunch. In that sector the guide will give information about the first day activity. You have to bring your tourist identification with your original passport in the first check point.

After that we will start our trekking together with the “quechua“. porters. We will walk around the sacred valley, next to Urubamba river with the beautiful view of Veronica snow mountain. Then, we will go to Llactapata old Inca village. From Willcaracay the guide will explain us about the archaeological site and you can take pictures of the beautiful landscape and at 1:30 hrs we will continue to the camp site of Wayllabamba. We will sleep at 3000msnm. We will have our tea time at 5:30 approx, and dinner at 7:00pm.

2 Day: Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo

We will get up at 6:00 am and we will have 30 minutes to get all the necessary stuff for the trek. Then we will have breakfast in our dinning tent and later, we will start with the first part of the trek up from Wayllabamba Inca village to the first pass Warmihuañusca (dead women pass) at 4200msnm. Before arrival we will have our coffee break. After 4 to 5 hrs approx we will reach the highest part. From the top you can take pictures of the snow mountains and then we will walk down at 1:30 approx. Arrival at the second camp site Pacaymayo.

The lunch is at the camp site , the tea time is at 5:30 and dinner at 7:00pm approx.

3 Day: Pacaymayo - Phuya Patamarca - Wiñay Wayna

We will get up at 6:00 am and we have 30 minutes for packing the necessary stuff and then we will have our breakfast at the dinning tent Then, the guide will give you an explanation about the day activities.

We will walk on the Inca Trail good protected we will pass for old archaeological Incas site covered by tropical forest and then we will visit the Runkuracay, Sayacmarca after this point 15minutes walk we will have our lunch then we will continue the trek until Phuyupatamarca with a beautiful view of the snow mountains from there we will walk down 2 hrs approx. to camp site Wiñaywayna . Probably the most impressive archaeological complex of the trail for stay in the humid forest and the architecture. At the camp site you can take the hot shower, the cost is S/ 5. 00. Then we will have tea time at 5:30. We will have our dinner with an excellent buffet service.

4 Day: Wiñay Huayna - Machu Picchu citadel – Cuzco

We will get up at 4 am the breakfast at 4:30 am and the leaving time of the group is at 5:30 am. From check point we will go into the tropical forest and pass Intipunku (sun gate )where we will arrive at 1:20 hrs approx. Arrival to Machu Picchu at 8:00 am where the trekkers lie down in a room where you have 20 minutes free . Later we will take the tour of the city of the Incas for about 2hrs approx. Then, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu . If you want, you can go to Wayna Picchu mountain. T hen you will meet with the rest of the group to go to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). Night at Aguas Calientes. (B)

5 Day: Machu Picchu without tour guide – Cuzco (second visit to Machu Picchu )

Early morning rise and after breakfast a bus will take us Machu Picchu . There is an optional hike for the most dynamic people up to Huaynapicchu, the pyramid shape peak that overlooks Machu Picchu . In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cuzco . End of services .(B)

RECOMENDATIONS:

•  A backpack with a change of clothes for the whole period of the trek and trekking shoes
•  Rain jacket or Poncho (Plastic rain Ponchos can be purchased in Cuzco or on the way to the trail starting point).
•  Strong footwear, ideally trekking or sport shoes.
•  Warm clothes, including sweater and jacket
•  Sleeping bag
•  Mattress  (by us but to be carried by you)
•  Flashlight and batteries
•  Camera, film and batteries
•  Hat or cap to protect your face from the sun/cold
