Wasai owns two beautiful eco lodges in the Amazon , a nice camp site and a Research Center, the first of these Amazon lodges ; Wasai Maldonado Lodge is located in the tropical city of Puerto Maldonado at the bank of the Madre de Dios River. There is another Amazon lodge located deep into the jungle; Wasai Tambopata Lodge The Tambopata wildlife centre, and our camp site are located in the Tambopata Candamo National Reserve, very close to the largest Macaw Clay Lick know in the World.
In this Amazon Lodge we have all the equipment to make your stay a comfortable and pleasurable experience. Our fleet of boats includes a large wooden motorized canoe, big enough for 20 people, to medium sized and small boats and non-motorized canoes for paddling. We also have a wooden catamaran for pleasure trips on the river and an inflatable dingy for rafting, which can be used near the lodge , as there is a nearby river perfect for water activities.
The lodge also counts with a four - wheel drive bus and cars for land use, camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, portable stoves), fishing gear, mountain bikes, telescopes and binoculars for better bird and animal watching. We also have rubber boots, waterproof capes and flash-lights for personal use. Certainly a well equipped and complete Amazon lodge , providing you almost anything you could need to ensure a great experience.
