Peru Volunteer Program

Volunteering in agriculture and sustainable development, supports different agricultural strategies. Our main product is cocoa and Asai, but we also work with Brazil nuts and a variety of local fruits. The volunteer also participates in permaculture jobs.

In our biological monitoring program, volunteers have the chance to monitor our fauna populations over time. This helps us develop accurate species lists and population density reports which will be used to make future conservation decisions.

Our forest reforestation and restoration project aims to replant trees that have been or are currently targeted by local loggers and that are in danger of becoming locally extinct. By doing this we hope to help this ecosystem by restoring important habitats for the local fauna.

Our goal for volunteering in art in the Amazon, is to learn about local art, with the philosophy of helping locals to live better through art; sharing the beauty of the tropical jungle.

We aim to increase environmental awareness and inspire local youth to appreciate the world around them and the unique ecosystem they live in and to promote the message of amazon conservation.

The 1700 ha of land owned by EcoDecision and Wasai still need a lot of exploration. Through this program we aim to gain a better understanding of our concessions through mapping and monitoring new interesting turistic places.
