Tambopata Wildlife Center is located in the upper Tambopata River, close to the biggest macaw and mammal clay licks known in the world. Due to geologic formation, the soil in these area is rich in mineral salts, which are part of the daily diet of hundreds of macaws, parrots and mammals. You will be staying in the uninhabited heart of the Tambopata National Reserve, where the rainforest is still wild and untouched. The combination of Tambopata Wildlife center, Maldonado Eco Lodge and Wasai Tambopata Lodge allow you to visit the best attractions of the region, which are the Bahuaja Sonene National Parks, macaw clay licks, the biggest canopy walk and the marvelous Sandoval Lake. Accommodations are in first class large tents, and standard dome style tents . There is a dinning room and kitchen in construction, those will be ready in July-August 2007.
