If you want to enjoy a great experience in the Amazon Rainforest and see lots of wildlife you could take part in our volunteer programme. We offer a special daily rate in exchange for volunteer work.
PROGRAM
The volunteering work involves a range of activities depending your interests and abilities. The work is interesting and can sometimes be phisically demanding (clearing small areas arround newly planted trees, work in the farm, varnish the bungalows) but will be no more than 4 hours daily. You can choose lighter work such as monitoring birds, carpentry, cooking, traslating, painting the boats, survey work.

If you have any particular skill or ability to offer? (e.g. experienced climbers- could you build a tree platform?) contact usto design your own volunteer project.
Necessary training and supervision is provided.
CONDITIONS
The basic volunteer rate of USD300.00 (ten days) covers your food and accommodation at Wasai L & E- but does not include transport, guided tours, National Park entrance fees or insurance. If you want you can joint with any of our tourist groups for free as a member of the workers staff.
To get to Wasai Tambopata Lodge from Puerto Maldonado as a volunteer you can advice us with previous time of your arrival to join to a group in a boat trip. You need to pay an entrance fee to enter to the National Park issued by the Puerto Maldonado office of INRENA (Instituto Nacional de Recursos Naturales). Without this you will not be able to stay at Wasai Tambopata Lodge (cost of the entrance fee US$12).
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
Phisical stamina, adaptability, interest in nature. Min 10 days.
BUNGALOWS
You will live in a comfortable rustic bungalow with mosquito net, cold water shower and no electricity. Hammocks are available in each bungalow.
